Becoming More Beautiful

About six months ago, I started thinking about dating again. After having a spouse pass away a few years ago, I knew that it was time for me to get back out there, date, and have a great time. However, it was a really difficult transition for me, and I knew that it would be hard to get back into the dating pool. To make the process easier, I turned to a spa and salon in my area to see what they could do for me. They did my hair, gave my skin a nice buffing, and made my nails look picture perfect. Check out this blog for more information on becoming more beautiful.

Getting Your Hair Colored? Ways You Can Touch Up Your Roots

Fred Lambert

If you are getting your hair colored, this can be exciting especially if you are completely changing the color of your hair. One thing you must be concerned about is the roots. Your hair will grow and your roots will start to show. This may be a big contrast to your new color and can really stand out. Fortunately, there are different ways you can retouch your roots, two of which are listed below.

Retouch Roots at Home

There are a variety of retouch root kits that you can purchase to do this yourself at home. The main thing is to make sure you purchase the right color that will match your hair. If you are not sure, contact your hair stylist that colored your hair, and they can tell you the color to purchase.

These kits work in different ways. For example, some kits have a brush that you brush on the new color. This is easy to use because you only have to brush the color on the roots only. There are also kits that have an airbrush that you use to place the new color on your roots. Other kits have a lotion that looks much like the standard hair color that you place on the roots. No matter what you purchase, the product will come with complete instructions on how to use it. It will be much easier if you color your roots as soon as they start to show instead of waiting for them to get too long.

Retouch Roots At A Spa

Another option you have to retouch your roots is to go to a spa. Contact a spa in your area to see if they offer this service. This may be more beneficial for you if this is the first time you have had your hair colored and are not experienced.

Spas have professional stylists on staff that know how to color hair, touch up roots, do highlights, etc. They will first inspect your hair closely to come up with the best formula for the color you have, as well as choose the best application type. This will depend on many things, such as the type of hair you have and the shade of the color.

During the touch up the professional will make sure they apply the color to your scalp and that each hair strand is saturated. Most people need a root touch-up within a few weeks after getting their hair colored.

Talk with the hair stylist and they can give you much more information about hair color root retouch treatments.
